Our client, Gov Facility Services Ltd are recruiting an Internal Recruiter on a 6-month FTC.  

Location – UK - remote working from home

Salary £33/35K pa pro rata


They are looking to engage someone who has integrity with a professional approachable manner. This is a work from home position with occasional travel so you should also have a can do attitude and be self motivated.


Purpose of the role:

This role is to act as the lead for all recruitment activity within a specified geographical region and so ultimately be responsibility for the quality of all appointments whether directly, via the internal recruitment process or externally via our recruitment agency partners.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Experience in the recruitment industry, agency industry or in agency management
  • Experience of working within a large, multi-site, service delivery business (recruitment focussed)
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and influencing
  • Supplier (contract) management
  • Understanding of UK employment law
  • Understanding of public sector recruitment principles
  • An expert knowledge of recruitment theory and best practice, as well as assessment techniques

Skills & Abilities: 

  • Ability to manage a vast and ever changing workload
  • Self-motivated, extremely organised and proactive in creative problem solving 
  • The ability to develop effective relationships and work with colleagues at all levels across the Organisation to challenge, coach and upskill
  • Ability to coordinate and manage a variety of competing and fast moving priorities
  • Must be able to scrutinise, influence and challenge at the highest level

Duties will include but won’t be limited to: 

Act as an internal recruitment consultant -help decide what recruitment strategies to implement, when and how to use contingent labour, analysing resourcing trends to better manage the organisation workload vs staff costs

Manage recruitment activity, directly and via the HR Admin team (track vacancies, write and publish adverts, candidate sourcing and engagement, assurance of the selection process for senior posts, conversion of candidates to offer / onboarding)

Coaching of managers on fair, transparent and consistent selection (skill set to work across and in conjunction with other activities, such as performance management)

Manage a potentially huge number of individual projects, tasks and recruitment campaigns simultaneously, with autonomy to prioritise as required to achieve the best outcomes for GFSL

About Our Client: 

Gov Facilities Services Ltd provide Facilities Management Services, such as cleaning, reactive maintenance, landscaping and planned building repair work to 52 Prison Establishments across Greater London, Kent & Sussex, South West and the East of England.  

Due to the nature of the environment, you will be asked to complete the standard Security Vetting for the establishments. This will include police check along with either Enhanced Level 1, Enhanced Level 2 or Counter Terrorism depending on the appointed establishments.
